The Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, held a welcome ceremony for the new generation of students on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, in the Great Chemistry Amphitheatre. The event gave first-year students the opportunity to get to know the Faculty, its faculty members, the study programmes, as well as student life and the opportunities that await them during their studies.
After the formal part of the ceremony, members of the Department of Numerical Mathematics and Optimization, together with student mentors, gathered the first-year students enrolled in the Applied Mathematics programme and gave them a more detailed introduction to studying in our programme. Through relaxed conversation and socializing, the new students received useful advice for starting their studies and also took a tour of the Faculty of Mathematics premises.
The gathering took place in a wonderful and cheerful atmosphere. We thank our new students for brightening our day with their enthusiasm and curiosity. Welcome to the Faculty of Mathematics, and we wish you successful and inspiring studies!
