We are pleased to announce that our teaching assistant Jelena Tasić successfully defended her doctoral dissertation entitled “Mathematical Models and Optimization Methods for Solving Variants of the p-Next Center Problem”.
The supervisor of the dissertation was prof. dr Zorica Dražić, and the examination committee consisted of Prof. Dr Aleksandar Savić, prof. dr Zorica Stanimirović and prof. dr Dragan Urošević.
The dissertation deals with the development of mathematical models and metaheuristic optimization methods for solving variants of the p-next center location problem, which have applications in the planning of logistics, supply networks and emergency response systems. As part of the research, new models and algorithms were developed, and their efficiency was confirmed on standard benchmark instances from the literature.
With this achievement, Jelena Tasić has earned the title of Doctor of Mathematical Sciences. The members of the Department extend their sincere congratulations to our colleague Jelena and wish her every success in her future scientific work.
