We would like to thank prof. Zorica Dražić from the Department of Numerical Mathematics and Optimization for the inspiring lecture she gave at the Computer Science High School. Through carefully chosen examples from games and everyday life, students were introduced to important areas of modern mathematics such as graph theory, combinatorics and game theory, as well as optimization methods and numerical mathematics, which are precisely the disciplines the Department actively works on in its research and teaching.

We are especially pleased that the students showed great interest, curiosity and willingness to actively participate, which confirms how much this approach contributes to a better understanding of mathematics and greater motivation to study it.
