We would like to thank prof.\u00a0Zorica Dra\u017ei\u0107<\/a>\u00a0from the Department of Numerical Mathematics and Optimization for the inspiring lecture she gave at the Computer Science High School. Through carefully chosen examples from games and everyday life, students were introduced to important areas of modern mathematics such as graph theory, combinatorics and game theory, as well as optimization methods and numerical mathematics, which are precisely the disciplines the Department actively works on in its research and teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
