50th Anniversary Symposium on Operations Research SYM-OP-IS 2023<\/a> was held in Tara, September 18-21, 2023, organized by the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Army.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results presented in the last 50 years at SYM-OP-IS have contributed to making SYM-OP-IS one of the most important meetings in Serbia in the field of optimization, i.e. operational research. This year's anniversary symposium was attended by more than 180 people, about 110 papers were exhibited and 157 papers were included in the proceedings, presenting both theoretical results and applications of operational research in numerous fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of the NMO Department, Zorica Stanimirovi\u0107 and Aleksandar Jovi\u0107, attended the meeting, along with colleagues from other departments of the Faculty of Mathematics, former and current PhD students actively working in the field of optimization and operational research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Povodom jubileja SYM-OP-IS-a, Matemati\u010dkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu dodeljena je Zahvalnica za izuzetan doprinos u o\u010duvanju tradicije SYM-OP-IS-a i za uspe\u0161nu organizaciju simpozijuma 2015. i 2021. godine. Nosilac organizacije simpozijuma 2015. i 2012. godine je bila upravo na\u0161a Katedra za Numeri\u010dku matematiku i optimizaciju. U ime Matemati\u010dkog fakulteta, Zahvalnicu je primio dekan. prof. dr Zoran Raki\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
